Technology Breakdown
Quality Workmanship
All Gravity DefyerTM Footwear is handcrafted using the finest materials available and incorporates cutting edge, patented technologies. Our commitment extends not only you, our customer, but also to our workers, factories, and contractors.
Finest Leather, Fabrics and Other Materials
All Gravity DefyerTM Footwear is handcrafted using the finest materials available. Unlike many shoes, Gravity DefyerTMs are comfortable the first time you put them on. The uppers have been engineered to fit like a glove without pinching or binding. Our team of international buyers hand select only the finest grades of supple leather. All other fabrics, whether of natural or man-made fibers, are put through rigorous testing for durability and color fastness and tactile suitability.
Shock Absorbing Polymers
The science that started it all. The polymers used to form the Gravity DefyerTM's sole are one of the many secrets behind its success. Originally developed for the construction and automobile industries, this lightweight and durable shock absorbing material forms the literal soul of our footwear.
Industrial Master Spring
The heart of the Gravity DefyerTM is the reciprocal shock absorbing action of an Industrial Grade Master Spring. It's the engine that keeps you going. The industrial master spring of the original Gravity DefyerTM (the Catapult MMXT3) is only 6mm in height. Despite its diminutive size it absorbs the tremendous forces generated by the human body, transforming them into an energized stride. The benefits of this shock absorbing technology can be instantly felt by the wearer.
Spring-Loaded Lift
The lift of the Gravity DefyerTM doesn't just elevate the wearer, making them taller; it is an integral part of the footwear's design. The lift platform extends beneath the body of the main mass of the shoe's heel. As force is applied (as in running, walking or landing following a jump) the lift platform rises into the heel area, safely absorbing impact while maintaining the look and structural integrity of the footwear.
Stabilizers
Gravity DefyerTM's use three springs in their assembly. The primary spring, the master spring, provides motive power and reciprocal energ. But the footwear wouldn't be complete without the two smaller springs. These springs act as stabilizers, much like you would find in a car or other form of transportation. The stabilizers control the yaw of the footwear leaving the wearer balanced and ready for changing conditions.
Breeze Advantage
The newest Gravity DefyerTMs now incorporate the Breeze advantage. Our internationally recognized Breezewalk shoes offered an incredible advantage over traditional dress shoes. They use a built in pumping action to circulate fresh air throughout the shoe reducing microbial growth and increasing comfort. Now the Breeze advantage is being incorporated in select Gravity DefyerTMs. Check your product specs to make sure yours do prior to purchase.

Breezewalk
The coolest thing in footwear. The Breezewalk is an innovative technology applied to footwear. A one-way valve transforms the piston-like action of heel compression into a pump, forcing hot air out of the shoe's upper and expelling it. See the Breezewalk page for more details.
Shoe Care
Your shoes are an investment – and with proper love, care and storage they should last you a very long time.
Shoe storage
Store your shoes in a shoe rack, bag or box intended for shoe care. Don't just pile them up with other shoes. This will distort the upper and age the appearance of your shoe prematurely. To extend the life and quality of your leather upper, use a shoe form to maintain the shape of the toe and arch.
Keep them clean
Polishing your leather shoes regularly with the correct cleansing products will not only make them look better, it will make them last longer.
Removing your shoes
Pulling or kicking your shoes off is not only lazy, it's also damaging. Over time this behavior will stretch the leather, making them loose, out of shape and uncomfortable to wear.
Putting on your shoes
Shoes are shaped to fit your feet. Use a shoe horn (if necessary) to prevent crushing the heel and lip.
Fitting
How to find the correct size
If you are already familiar with your shoe size in either US or European Measurements you may use the table below as a form of cross reference. Please place all orders in the US size measurement.
If you would prefer to measure your foot for a custom fit, perform the measurements as indicated before and compare them on the chart below before ordering..
You will need the following, a pencil, paper, a ruler, a chair. A hard surface such as the floor or a book.
- Measure your foot at the end of a day when your feet are at the largest. If you wear socks or stockings with shoes, make sure you have them on.
- While seated, place your foot on a piece of paper and trace around your foot as closely as possible. Repeat with the other foot.
- Using the ruler measure the length (heel to toe) of each foot.
- Choose the larger of the two measurements and subtract .5 centimeters.
